With only 7 miles of oceanfront shoreline, Holden Beach is on the southern coast of North Carolina in Brunswick County. A barrier island southwest of Wilmington, Holden Beach offers its residents and visitors a step back in time to natural beauty, untouched beaches and a relaxing lifestyle. Along with its neighboring islands, Ocean Isle Beach, Oak Island, and Sunset Beach, this area is known as the “Brunswick Islands” of North Carolina.

At Holden Beach, a sweeping two-lane bridge takes visitors from the mainland to the island, where they are greeted by seven miles of white-sand beach in a serene, subtropical climate.

Come relax on the beach and enjoy the activities of swimming, sailing, shelling, biking, golfing, windsurfing, hiking or kayaking. The main street of Ocean Boulevard has sidewalks that are perfect for walking, jogging, in-line skating or biking.

And for those who love to find unique gifts, there are antique shops, boutiques and galleries to browse through on a quiet afternoon.
